I guess there always comes a time when one has to take risks,” he explains, adding, “being on my own does not mean that I won’t ever be seen with Kim again, because we both know, and all of us know for that matter, that ABS-CBN will continue to drum up our love team while it’s hot. I accepted this Tiagong Akyat lead role because I know it will give me more opportunities to improve my acting range.”

Gerald knows that some of his fans would frown on him being paired with new leading ladies, but he is sure that they are smarter than that. “I need to grow as an actor. I need to be paired with other actresses in order for me to spread my wings. And I’m glad that ABS-CBN did not give me just any other leading lady, because I am happy with Max.”

Gerald is referring to Max Eigenmann, a third-generation actor from the respected Eigenmann clan, being the daughter of actors Mark Gil and Bing Pimentel, and younger sister to the award-winning Sid Lucero.

“The first time I saw Max, I was simply dumbfounded. She is oh so beautiful. And when she started to talk, she strikes me as a very intelligent young lady. She admitted to me that she was nervous before our meeting but I made her feel comfortable right away. You know what I mean, when you immediately warm up to a stranger and feel light and happy that you’ve met? That’s the feeling I got when I met Max,” he shares.

Even while his top-rating nightly soap opera Tayong Dalawa is still on its last stretch on prime-time TV, Gerald has started work for Tiagong Akyat, a weekly four-part series inspired by the classic films of the former action star Ramon Revilla Sr.

“It’s hard work for me, but I am enjoying even the most challenging scenes. I’m not only required to do drama but I am also expected to perform well in my many action scenes,” he adds.

While Gerald will soon be romancing Max on the small screen, he has made a promise that he will never set aside Kim. “I know it will be hard with Max around, but I can’t imagine myself without Kim.” Let’s wait and see.

ABS-CBN matinee idol and Tayong Dalawa star Gerald Anderson admits knowledge on rumors and speculations that he will be paired with other female stars soon. He compared his situation with previous Kapamilya hearthrobs like Piolo Pascual, Sam Milby and Jericho Rosales.

"Alam namin ni Kim na the day will come na maghihiwalay kami at magkakaroon ng ibang partners" says Gerald in his Bulgar interview. The actor was asked if who is his dream partner. "Kung sino ang gusto ko? Marami!" says Gerald.

Surprisingly, he mentioned the name of a Kapamilya actress that is speculated to be his partner soon, and we mean possible,

"Sina Bea Alonzo, Shaina Magdayao, Anne Curtis, Sarah, a lot." he added. Admitting that he likes Sarah to be his new partner is like saying YES to the possible proposal of Viva Films to do a movie with the Pop Princess in her next flick.
